May marked the successful launch of Atova's new webinar series, Navigating Novel Foods: EU Dossier Masterclass, bringing together professionals from across the food, ingredient, biotech, and regulatory sectors to explore one of the most important aspects of novel food authorisation: building a robust, compliant, and EFSA-ready dossier.

Helping Businesses Navigate the EU Novel Food Approval Process

The EU novel food authorisation process can be challenging, particularly navigating the regulatory landscape. That's why we created the Navigating Novel Foods: EU Dossier Masterclass series — to provide practical, real-world guidance that helps businesses approach the process with greater confidence.

Our first webinar focused on laying the foundations for a successful submission, providing attendees with a clear roadmap for developing a novel food dossier from the ground up. This session focused on:

The session was led by Regulatory and Novel Food Specialist, Hannes Malfroy, who shared practical advice that goes beyond simply interpreting regulatory guidance. Drawing on real-world experience, Hannes provided attendees with actionable tips and proven approaches to help streamline dossier preparation and improve the likelihood of a successful outcome. One of the key themes throughout the session was that successful novel food applications require more than just understanding the regulations—they require a strategic, well-planned approach to dossier development from the very beginning.

As the first instalment in our four-part series, this webinar set the stage for a deeper exploration of the critical elements involved in preparing and submitting a novel food dossier in the European Union.
